Thailand Holidays from Dubai
Thailand suits almost any kind of trip. Bangkok is fast, hot and endlessly interesting, with grand palaces and temples alongside canal neighbourhoods and some of the best street food anywhere.
From there most travellers head south to Phuket, Krabi or the islands for beaches and limestone scenery, or north to Chiang Mai for temples, mountains and cooler evenings. A week is enough for two of the three.
Highlights
- The Grand Palace and Wat Pho in Bangkok
- Wat Arun and the Chao Phraya river boats
- Phang Nga Bay and the limestone karsts by longtail boat
- Railay and the beaches around Krabi
- Chiang Mai’s old city temples and the surrounding mountains
- An ethical elephant sanctuary, where the animals are observed rather than ridden

Best time to visit
November to February is cooler and driest across most of the country and is the busiest period. March to May is hot. The rainy season varies between the Andaman and Gulf coasts, which means there is usually somewhere in Thailand with good weather at any time of year.
